This week I learned...

The lebanese are the most successful immigrants in the world.  Jewish people hold 20% of nobel prizes, though they only constitute 1% of the worldwide population.

B complex vitamins are excellent to take if you feel brain fog or are detoxing from alcohol.

Training at high level intervals (sprint, walk, sprint, walk) creates more mitochondria in your cells, which means more energy. You have to give your body a reason to produce more mitochondria, if your body thinks it doesn't need them, it won't produce them.

The beginning 2000s started a trickle down effect where there wasn't enough jobs for the very VERY smart and highly educated.  So they took even lower level jobs, which is why we now need a masters to teach pre-k.

Different countries and even within the US, there are different boards of health that tout different amounts of alcohol as the healthy limit.  Spain is the highest at 7 glasses a day.  France is 3-4.  Within the US it is between 1-3.  Alcohol doesn't necessarily kill brain cells (autopsied individuals have been studied and heavy drinkers had just as many brain cells as non-drinkers).  It is the neuronal signals that get disrupted.

Men have more water/blood ratio than women, which is why they can drink more.

Ok more later...I learned a lot this week...
